Singapore Airlines Upgrades New Zealand Experience

Singapore Airlines has announced exciting enhancements to its operations in New Zealand, coming Northern Summer 2027. It will bring an elevated travel experience, greater flexibility and increased capacity for travellers. 

You can fly between Auckland and Christchurch to Singapore on a direct, non-stop flight. The service takes just under 10 hours and allows New Zealand passengers to access expanded connections all over the globe.

Singapore Airlines – Auckland Service

Auckland passengers can look forward to an elevated travel experience with daily SQ285/286 services on the Singapore to Auckland route operated by the Airbus A380. Their First Class Suites will be available all year round, making this a total upgrade in the market. All whilst delivering more seats across Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class. Introduced in response to strong travel demand, this enhancement creates even more opportunities for New Zealand passengers to connect onto further destinations in better comfort. 

Singapore Airlines – Christchurch Service

Travellers from Christchurch will also see a strong and attractive service offering. Daily SQ297/298 services on the Singapore to Christchurch route will continue to be operated by the Airbus A350LH through to April 2027. This will offer travellers a consistent and comfortable travel experience. From May to October 2027, this service will be upgraded to the Boeing 777-300ER, providing an additional appeal of the First Class cabin. With these new enhancements, Singapore Airlines creates a premium proposition for the New Zealand market.

Singapore Airlines Business Class 

Singapore Airlines Business Class is a fantastic option for travelling long-haul. On their A380. which will be featured on the Auckland – Singapore route, enjoy a 1-2-1 cabin configuration and a comfortable and private seat. Enjoy lots of leg room and storage, including a deep foot well that can be used to store your bags, shoes and more. 

The 777-300ER offers two different types of Business Class seats. The Lazy Z, a cradling position that ensures your weight is centred and balanced when sitting down, and the Sundeck, a lounging position that extends the base and foot of your seat so you can stretch and rest your legs on the ottoman.
