Singapore Airlines Boosts Australian Flights
Starting 27 October 2024, Singapore Airlines will add a fifth daily flight to its Sydney to Singapore schedule, bringing it back up to pre-pandemic levels.
With bookings going live progressively through the Singapore Airlines website and travel agents, the new SQ201/SQ202 service will provide even more options for travellers to tap into Singapore Airlines flights. These include key destinations within the UK, Europe and Asia, allowing streamlined connections at Changi Airport (you can read our Changi Airport lounge guide here) and more round the world airfare availability.
The SQ202 Boeing 777 will depart Sydney every day at 6:45am to reach Singapore at 11:50am, while the SQ201 Airbus A350 will leave Singapore at 7:10pm, making the overnight journey to land in Sydney at 5:55am the following day.
Singapore Airlines Airbus A350 offers their long-haul Business Class, which many prefer over their medium-haul seating options. The 1-2-1 Business Class configuration offers direct aisle access for every seat, a fully flat bed along with fine dining and entertainment options. With SQ helping to feed Lufthansa, SWISS, SAS, Turkish Airlines and Star Alliance round the world fares, there are a number of Business Class round the world options, along with Economy round the world flights.
“Locking in these increased services for the year-end peak period provides a great opportunity for Australians to start planning their 2024 travel to secure the best fares possible,” notes Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President South West Pacific, Mr Louis Arul.
“These additional flights provide even more options for Australians heading to Europe and Asia, with great connections through Singapore Changi Airport, for business, holiday or to connect with friends and family.”
Singapore Airlines is also boosting flights to Adelaide, increase to ten per week starting 27 October 2024, with SQ276/SQ277 departing on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday alongside the current daily schedule with SQ278/SQ279. All services will be flown by a Boeing 787-10 with Singapore Airlines regional Business Class seat.
